De liefsdesgestichten van Bolsward, het Sint Anthony Gasthuis, Het Weeshuis en de Hendrick Nannes en Catrijn Epes stichting, alsmede het Fonds Bolsward Dronrijp hebben aan het college van B&W van de gemeente Sudwest Fryslan bekend gemaakt gezamelijk een bedrag van EUR 1.250.000,- beschikbaar te stellen ter realisatie van de plannen voor de herbestemming van het voormalige stadhuis van Bolsward.<\/p>\n

Het Stadhuis dat dit jaar 400 jaar bestaat krijgt, nadat het in 2011 door de gemeentelijke herindeling haar functie verloor, een nieuwe bestemming die de stad Bolsward als geheel ten goede komt. Het toezeggen van deze bijdrage past daarmee binnen de statutaire doelstellingen van de stichtingen. Na een uitgebreide presentatie door de gemeente en intern beraad binnen de besturen van de stichtingen heeft iedere stichting afzonderlijk haar besluit genomen. Daarbij zijn ook de voelhorens uitgestoken in de Bolswarder samenleving om te peilen in welke mate er draagvlak is voor de plannen. Deze is\u00a0ruimschoots aanwezig gebleken. <\/span><\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

De\u00a0stichtingen zien de substanti\u00eble steun als een\u00a0 vliegwiel voor de gemeente om het resterende financi\u00eble gat te vullen en de plannen voor de zomer door de raad goedgekeurd te krijgen. <\/span><\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

De combinatie van functies, zoals het gemeente loket, het archief centrum, musea en bibliotheek staan daarnaast garant voor een langdurige relatie, dat daarmee tevens zorgdraagt voor de dekking van de exploitatie.<\/span><\/p>\n
